Lap-Band® Over Bypass Revision

This is a new revision option for patients who have had a Gastric Bypass which has failed over time and have had significant weight regain.  This procedure is not yet an FDA approved use for the Lap-Band®. However, a number of studies have been done to date and so far show that Banding a failed Bypass can help a patient lose about two thirds of the what they have regained and maintain that weight loss for as long as five years in some studies.

Given these results, Dr. Merriman does now offer this procedure on a case by case basis.  Dr. Merriman is the most experienced Lap-Band® surgeon in this region.
